EPG named exclusive worldwide distributor of Colortronix products

Press release from the issuing company

Centerbrook, Connecticut - Essex Products Group, the Connecticut based manufacturer of KeyColor integrated ink control systems, and Colortronix LLC, manufacturers of job presetting and color scanner interface systems, have finalized an agreement naming EPG the exclusive worldwide distributor of Colortronix products. Introduced at PRINT 09, the new products are now marketed by EPG under the Adelphi brand label. This agreement expands EPG's capabilities to serve printers who use other manufacturers' ink control systems or color measurement equipment. Printers operating with EPG remote ink control systems continue to use KeyColor AutoSet and AutoKey for presetting and closed-loop color control.

"Securing an exclusive relationship with Colortronix was the natural next step in EPG's recent expansion of its printing systems," says Peter Griffin, president, EPG. "Adelphi technology is the perfect complement to our products and services. We can now easily upgrade a press, no matter what ink control desk or color measurement equipment is being used."

"EPG's manufacturing expertise, global reach, strategic vision, and commitment to quality and customer service make it a perfect match for Colortronix," says Abe Wertheim, president and founder of Colortronix LLC. "The response to EPG's introduction of KeyColor Adelphi technology at PRINT 09 was extremely positive. We see great potential in this partnership and look forward to long-term success."

EPG manufactures the KeyColor line of remote ink control systems and AutoSet and AutoKey software for presetting and closed-loop color control for use on EPG systems. EPG's new Adelphi AutoSet system utilizes the output of CTP to preset ink fountain keys and reduce setup costs on presses with non-EPG ink control systems.  The new Adelphi AutoKey scanner interface system works with other manufacturers' ink control systems on sheetfed or web presses to adjust ink keys from any other color measurement equipment to achieve required target densities.
