NELA celebrates Grand Opening of new facility

River Falls, WI – NELA welcomed Wisconsin Secretary of Commerce, Richard Leinenkugel, and other Government officials, business partners and friends to its open house on January 28, 2010. Secretary Leinenkugel also provided NELA with a Tax Credit incentive for future employment increases.

NELA was pleased to welcome a large crowd of Government officials, local businesses, customers and friends to its new US headquarter in River Falls, WI. Guests were given tours of the 53,000 ft2 facility and were able to observe many NELA product lines in operation.

During his speech, Secretary Leinenkugel emphasized the importance of new State of Wisconsin economic development tools to further create and retain jobs in the manufacturing industry. Other incentives are available to Wisconsin businesses such as "Green" projects, for instance reduction of waste streams and energy reduction.

Wisconsin's Governor Jim Doyle announced in a press release Thursday, that he is proud to welcome NELA to Wisconsin.

Attending the open house from NELA's parent in Lahr/Germany was Frank Neumeister, President and CEO of NELA Worldwide. Frank presented checks to local charities on behalf of the parent company.

NELA USA moved to its new location in River Falls, WI, last fall and has since then finished an additional 3,000 ft2 of office space that is now housing a state-of-the-art engineering department.
