The PrintCity Alliance joins Ipex to create a major visitor attraction

Tuesday, February 02, 2010

Press release from the issuing company

The PrintCity Alliance has decided to have a strong presence at Ipex 2010 for a grouping of its members to exhibit together in a prominent position in hall 17.

Participating PrintCity Alliance members are: Leonhard Kurz, manroland, MEGTEC, Merck, Océ, Sappi, Tolerans, UPM and Weilburger Graphics.

PrintCity was the second most popular attraction encouraging visitor pre-registration for Ipex 2006 and is likely to draw significant visitor interest at the next Ipex, running May 18-25, 2010 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK.

The development of plans for the PrintCity Alliance member's area at Ipex has already begun for stand 17-D921, including a totally new concept involving shared member facilities & discussion areas. This will attract and benefit all Ipex visitors and provide a 'must see' location for the sharing of knowledge on high profile market & technology subjects.

Ipex visitors will benefit from the ever stronger "Connection of Competence" offered by PrintCity Alliance members working together and offering:

- Shared process knowledge from alliance members – all working together
- Research projects & publications on important print/packaging industry topics
- Access to the alliance members themselves – each a leader in its own field

Visitors to PrintCity Alliance shows should not need to ask 'What's In it For Me' – at Ipex and other similar international shows they can gain all these benefits by visiting our members in one area, meeting them individually or jointly, on future business planning or technology topics.

Rainer Kuhn, Managing Director of PrintCity comments, "Ipex 2010 is the next major international exhibition in the printing & packaging industries and one which the PrintCity Alliance is proud to be associated with. Expect something very special from our members in May 2010."

Trevor Crawford, Event Director for Ipex 2010 concludes, "We are obviously delighted to welcome back the PrintCity Alliance to Ipex 2010. Ideally placed directly alongside its strategic member manroland in the heart of hall 17. PrintCity is another key visitor feature that represents all aspects of workflow."
