Visual Systems Claims Printing Honor

Press release from the issuing company

MILWAUKEE – Visual Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of book components, overhead transparencies and ancillary products for educational textbooks, has recently been awarded a Gold Ink Award in the direct-to-press digital imaging category. The well-respected competition, co-sponsored by PrintMedia and Printing Impressions magazines, awarded Visual Systems for its entry because of the entry’s printed quality, use of color separations, technical difficulty and visual effectiveness. The winning entry can be viewed online at visualsystemsinc.com. “It truly takes a team effort and commitment from our associates to achieve this great accomplishment,” said Jeffrey Burg, marketing manager for Visual Systems. “This award is proof that our associates excel in what they do, and Visual Systems couldn’t receive this award without their dedication.” The judging committee recognized Visual Systems’ on-demand vs. offset printing sample packet, which consists of a reprint of four fine art transparencies printed both offset and on the company’s on-demand equipment. The piece, which demonstrated the quality of on-demand production, was one of nearly 1,600 entries in 40 categories. Founded in 1961, Visual Systems is a book components, overhead transparency and ancillary products supplier for educational textbook and supplemental publishers in the United States.
