Oosterhout – Q.I. Press Controls is proud to announce the order from Newsprinters in Broxbourne UK. Newsprinters is the printing division for News International. In terms of growth, market share, circulation and readership, their printed titles (The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun and News of the World) are among the world's most successful. One of Newsprinters manroland COLORMAN XXL press lines at Broxbourne, will be equipped with Q.I. Press Controls' system for closed loop colour density control, the Intelligent Density System (IDS), in order to evaluate the benefits which are expected to include cost savings and quality improvements.

"News International is a highly respected organisation and an industry leader in many respects. They are known throughout the world as an innovative organisation, so the synergy between our two companies is a very comfortable fit", states Simon Bermingham, Managing Director of Q.I. Press Controls UK. "Newsprinters printing plant in Broxbourne is the worlds largest (23 football pitches), it has 12 full-colour printing presses, each capable of printing 86,000 copies per hour and the site consumes more than 280,000 tonnes of newsprint a year. Newsprinters also have production facilities at Knowsley, Liverpool (5 presses) and Motherwell, Glasgow (2 presses).
