Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, IL – Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of sheetfed and web offset printing presses, recently reports that The PrintSource Group, a 25,000 square-foot facility located in East Providence, Rhode Island has installed a six-color Lithrone 28 (LS628) with an in-line aqueous coater. Offering state-of-the-art pre-press and offset printing capabilities, on-demand digital services, and mail batch processing, the 40-year old company provides its customer base end-to-end services. The advanced automation of the LS628 makes it possible for The PrintSource Group to increase market share by expanding its business offerings to include larger volume runs and reduce turnaround times-a key factor in The PrintSource Group's investment decision.

"Along with offering us broader print capabilities, the LS628 delivers an extremely quick makeready which is great for efficient, cost effective printing," states Don Shortman, president and founder of the family-owned company. "Additionally, the fact the press can print 12 to 13 thousand impressions in an hour helps us achieve our goal for quick turnaround. This is definitely a price driven machine that allows our company to be very competitive."

"I've experienced the quality of Komori presses since 1988," said Dana Peters, who recently joined the company as vice-president and director of sales for The PrintSource Group. "It is the perfect purchase for this company as it allows us to meet the quality needs of the high-end companies we serve and do it competitively."

As an FSC certified print supplier, The PrintSource Group is serious about its corporate responsibility and practices sustainable efforts at every level of production. The LS628 contributes to the company's green initiatives by successfully integrating soy-based inks and reducing waste with its quick makeready capabilities.

"We're pleased to welcome The PrintSource Group into the Komori family," said Jacki Hudmon, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for Komori America. "Don and his family have been successful over the years by focusing on outstanding customer service coupled with high quality printing and affordable costs. We're happy the Lithrone 28 can add positively to the value inherent in this philosophy."
