CIP4 Announces Seybold CIP4 JDF Summit

San Francisco, CA (September 4, 2003) – The International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press, and Postpress (CIP4) Organization today announced an extended set of JDF sessions to be held at Seybold Seminars San Francisco 2003. After sponsoring CIP4 workshops during Seybold San Francisco 2001 and 2002, and staging the first-ever JDF Intensive at this spring’s Seybold Seminars Amsterdam 2003 event, for the first time Seybold Seminars, is offering the Seybold CIP4 JDF Summit on September 11th and 12th at the new Moscone Center West in San Francisco. Originally scheduled for one day, this event was extended, reflecting the growing interest throughout the industry in the Job Definition Format (JDF) specification and its application in automating the printing and publishing process. According to Stephan Jaeggi, CEO of PrePress Consulting and the JDF Summit conference chair, “this special JDF program at Seybold San Francisco represents the most comprehensive look at and demonstration of this important new standard to date.” Sessions will include: The Vision of JDF — Industry leaders will discuss their vision for the future of JDF and the benefits they expect from JDF implementation.
