Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Press release from the issuing company

Berwyn, PA -- New Direction Partners, a leading printing industry investment banking and consulting firm, has announced that Jeffrey Riback has joined the firm as Partner.

Peter Schaefer, Partner at New Direction Partners, said, "Jeff brings significant accomplishments in his 28 years in the industry, including creating value as an entrepreneur and managing a large division for RR Donnelley.  Personally, I have come to know his talents by working with him on two successful M&A engagements.  I admire his impeccable reputation and strong sense of ethics and values and am confident he will be a perfect fit with New Direction Partners and our clientele."

As Principal of Data Communiqué International, Riback created exceptional value for investors by building the company into a $50 million provider of automated publishing technology, document production, and distribution services for the financial services industry.  Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Sales and operations for RR Donnelley's Capital Markets Division. In this role, Riback was responsible for a global organization of 125 sales representatives, seven printing plants, and 40 production service centers. Under his leadership, revenue grew from $125 million to $250 million in four years as his division penetrated new markets including London, Hong Kong, and major US financial centers.

"Jeff brings a unique perspective to our business since he has experienced what many of our clients deal with as owners of their own businesses," said Paul Reilly, Partner at New Direction Partners. "He also understands business metrics and strategic development from his time at a large corporation."

Riback has hands-on management consulting experience with a focus on automated publishing technology and turnaround management.  He has helped clients sell multi-million dollar contracts for automated publishing technology solutions, developing and implementing turnaround strategies that resulted in cost savings, operational efficiencies, and new revenue.

"This is a great opportunity because New Direction Partners offers the industry hands-on experience and a track record of success," said Riback.  "Our Partners have created value in an entrepreneurial environment, built companies, and realized exceptional rewards for owners and investors.  I am excited to be joining them and look forward to helping our clients realize those same rewards."
