Xerox Joins University of Notre Dame Corporate Partner Program

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--Sept. 4, 2003-- Xerox Corporation has established a two-year corporate partnership with the University of Notre Dame that makes Xerox the premier print provider for Notre Dame Athletics and builds a brand link between Xerox and the university. The partnership is one of several that the Irish have established exclusively with leading companies under its "Team Notre Dame" national corporate partner program. "Xerox is a partner with a strong brand, outstanding technology and a vision for advancing our university," said Bill Scholl, Notre Dame's associate athletic director for marketing and corporate relations. "This commitment will benefit student-athletes, coaching staff and our organization as Xerox provides the school with its high-quality document-processing equipment." The agreement designates Xerox as an official partner and member of Team Notre Dame, guaranteeing national visibility through Notre Dame athletics including football, basketball, hockey and baseball. The partnership includes integrated marketing and promotional activities including television and print advertising, special events, retail and consumer marketing, and other corporate hospitality initiatives. In addition, Xerox will provide all document processing for Notre Dame athletics. "This agreement builds on Xerox's longtime support of educational institutions and of collegiate athletics programs, and Xerox expects to benefit from extensive advertising, marketing and customer-relations opportunities with a strong university like Notre Dame," said Mike MacDonald, president, Xerox North American Solutions Group. "In addition to our marketing investment, we will work closely with the university to identify new opportunities for Xerox to support Notre Dame athletic and academic pursuits."
