COPI's CodeZ QR receives major recognition at the 2009 Print & Imaging Summit

Press release from the issuing company

HOUSTON, Texas - COPI (Computer Output Print Internet), the global provider of technology solutions to the high volume transaction output (HVTO) industry, won the highly prestigious Best Presentation Award at the 2009 Print & Imaging Summit. The winning presentation was delivered by Joe Barber --- a.k.a Dr. QR --- COPI's chief QR officer, who presented on COPI's CodeZ QR, or quick response codes.

Delegates at the Summit ---- an interactive forum that brought together vendors, industry analysts and office and production print executives --- voted COPI's CodeZ QR session the winner of the Best Presentation. COPI was also a nominee for Best in Show at the 2009 forum. In 2008, COPI's CodeZ QR won the coveted Most Innovative Solution Award and was also a finalist for Best in Show.

QR codes represent a growing trend in the HVTO industry towards cross-media integration in printed documents, and chief marketing officers, document managers and those in the HVTO industry are taking notice of its applications and implementing the codes within their enterprise's communications.

"We are honored that CodeZ QR has once again been recognized by print industry executives as the most exciting product in the industry," said Barber. "I think this is a clear reflection of COPI's unique product offering and the heightened interest in 1to1 dialogues that CodeZ QR help initiate with recipients of transaction documents."

According to Barber, some of the world's most recognized brands are now using QR campaigns to improve interactions with customers and enhance their brands. QR codes are high-density barcodes that are readable by cell phones and simple PC cams. Recipients can quickly and easily interact with the QR-enabled transactional documents they receive. By simply pointing their camera at the QR symbol they are instantly connected to a personalized web page without having to remember or type in long numbers and promotional codes. They just point and shoot. QR codes can link to: product videos, e-commerce portals, personalized URLs, quick payment portals or any site on the mobile Web.

At the 2009 Print & Imaging Summit, Barber's presentation looked at how QR codes increase response rates by lowering barriers, enable faster bill payment and engage customers in two-way dialogue.

COPI's CodeZ QR business division and product line, which supports QR code technology, is the major provider of vendor-independent 2D barcode solutions for the transaction output industry. As the next generation in 2D barcodes, COPI's CodeZ QR sub-routine helps to create high-impact, cross media transpromo applications. COPI's CodeZ QR division supports enterprises in their efforts to transform transpromo documents into cohesive marketing tools that seamlessly integrate both print and online media.
