WYNIT Launches Technical Graphics Division

Press release from the issuing company

(North Syracuse, NY) -- Responding to the recent disruption in the large format technical and graphics printer distribution channel, WYNIT, Inc., has expanded its operations to address the immediate needs of both customers and suppliers. This expansion includes the establishment of a divisional headquarters in the greater Greenville, SC area, and the immediate employment of a seasoned team of technical graphics sales and support professionals.

"WYNIT has built a significant business providing both hardware and supplies from Canon, Epson, and Hewlett Packard to dealers servicing the fine art and photography, digital graphics, proofing and publishing and technical graphics market" notes Peter A. Richichi, chief operating officer. "This opportunity now allows us to enhance our services to those dealers, and expand our product offerings from both present and new suppliers."

"On the morning of Wednesday, December 16, 2009, technical graphics dealers and suppliers became aware of the fact that one of their major distributors had abruptly ceased operation," states Richichi. "There was a significant amount of tension in the channel as both dealers and suppliers assessed the situation, searching for the status of open orders, and making alternative arrangements to supply product to their customers."

A team at WYNIT took immediate action, expediting orders, creating new accounts, and extending credit terms to accommodate dealer requirements. Senior WYNIT leadership traveled to Greenville, SC for meetings with key stakeholders on Thursday, December 17, and over the days leading up to Christmas, made the decision to move forward with the expansion.

"This has certainly been a fast-moving few weeks" says Rick Slagle, newly appointed director of WYNIT's Technical Graphics Division. "I am exceptionally impressed with the commitment of the WYNIT organization in providing a seamless transition of services to our customers, as well as ensuring the livelihood of highly-valued industry professionals."

Beginning immediately Slagle and his South Carolina-based team, will begin working with the WYNIT Sales, Product Management, Operations, Finance and Marketing groups in Syracuse to launch this new division, providing a whole new level of support for dealers and suppliers in the areas of technical services, color management consultation, media application engineering, print samples, demonstrations facilities,  and outside sales support.

"I am extremely excited about what our new Technical Graphics Division means for WYNIT as a company," Richichi continues. "While this opportunity has necessitated some fast decisions and expeditious action, its success will serve as template as we continue to create innovative supply chain and service solutions for our customers."
