Coughlin to lead HP Imaging and Printing Group's LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions Business

PALO ALTO, Calif. - HP today announced the appointment of Ron Coughlin as senior vice president of the LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions global business unit within the company's Imaging and Printing Group, effective immediately.

He will report to Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of the Imaging and Printing Group. Coughlin succeeds David Murphy, who is leaving HP to pursue other professional interests.

Coughlin will lead the teams responsible for accelerating the company's LaserJet business, which represents an estimated $100 billion global market opportunity.(1) HP's LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions business includes a portfolio of devices, supplies, software and solutions that span multiple customer segments, including enterprise, small- to midsize business, and consumer.

Coughlin joined HP in June 2007 as senior vice president of worldwide strategy and marketing for the Imaging and Printing Group. In this position, he led global marketing strategy, customer insights, communications, planning and execution across all customer segments and business units. Prior to joining HP, Coughlin was senior vice president and chief marketing officer of PepsiCo's international beverage business.

Coughlin will continue to be based in San Diego. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in international marketing from Lehigh University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
