Xerox Litigation Services opens secondary data center

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Xerox Litigation Services today announced the opening of a state-of-the-art secondary data center in Rochester, N.Y. Monitored by around-the-clock staff, the data center boasts over 13,000 square feet, includes 5,500 square feet of server space and requires handprint scans to gain entry.

The secondary center can manage approximately two petabytes of storage and is located 250 miles from Xerox Litigation Services' primary data center in Albany, N.Y. Rapid recovery systems are in place to ensure that data is not lost in case of a system failure, although Xerox Litigation Services has never experienced one. In the unlikely event of a disaster or main system failure, services would continue to be available to clients as all data processing occurs in both facilities. In addition, diverse network connectivity points exist between Albany and Rochester resulting in a SONET ring, this provides ongoing transmission between the two locations.

Xerox Litigation Services is one of the world's largest providers of electronic discovery services, helping corporate counsel and outside law firms reduce risk and control costs in complex e-discovery matters.
