SALT LAKE CITY, March 8 -- ONYX Graphics today announced it has added support for the HP Designjet Z2100 and the HP Designjet Z3100 Photo Printer Series. Drivers for these printers are available for ONYX Version 7.0 Workflow Solutions software products. ONYX Graphics software solutions include key features such as PANTONE(R) Spot Color Matching, Contour Cutting Workflow and Automatic Job Nesting, which enhance the performance capabilities of the HP Designjet Z2100 and HP Designjet Z3100 printers. Both the HP Designjet Z2100 and HP Designjet Z3100 are available in 24- and 44-inch wide models. According to HP, these printers are the company's next-generation of photo printers that are designed to make it easy to produce exquisite, museum-quality, large format prints. As always, ONYX Graphics has developed the HP Designjet Z2100 and HP Designjet Z3100 drivers and profiles to operate the printers at top performance capabilities. The ONYX drivers include support for the HP Z Photo Printer Series on-board spectrophotometer for both calibration and re-calibration of media. The driver also supports the printer controls for gloss enhancer ink; the printer controls for drying time; cutter support; accounting features; and print mode (number of passes, extra passes, bi-directional). The drivers include media profiles for HP ink and a range of media. Other ONYX profiles will be available on the ONYX website.
