Impresora Múltiple Installs Mitsubishi Diamond 1000LS

Press release from the issuing company

MEXICO CITY -- Impresora Múltiple, S.A. de C.V. has earned a reputation for being a reliable supplier of medium-length and long-run jobs. The family-owned company that was founded in 1984 not only expertly satisfies the demands of the commercial printing market but also enjoys a thriving book printing business.

After investigating different equipment alternatives, Impresora Múltiple invested in the Mitsubishi Diamond 1000LS with inline coater and full automation to strengthen its production capabilities and generate more sales volume.

"Our clients for commercial printing insist on very high quality while requiring quick turnarounds on their projects," said Sergio Flores, general director.

The Diamond 1000LS is Impresora Múltiple's first Mitsubishi press. The five-color, 20 x 28-inch press joined an existing equipment roster consisting of four-color and two-color offset presses, digital printing systems and machines for cutting, binding and finishing.

In addition to printing such typical commercial fare as marketing collateral, corporate identity materials, annual reports and catalogs, Impresora Múltiple produces 480,000 books annually. A host of other projects, including point-of-purchase displays, packaging, posters and CD covers, help keep the company's presses filled with work throughout the year.

Impresora Múltiple outfitted the Diamond 1000LS with an inline aqueous coater. The high degree of automation accelerates makereadies and streamlines production. Installed in October, the press already has printed more than 2 million impressions.

"Our two biggest clients are a large chain of restaurants in Mexico and a transnational canned food company," Flores said. "When they saw the first jobs we printed on the Mitsubishi press, they were impressed with the quality. They commented about the clearness and faithful reproduction of the colors and photographs."

Flores' son Sergio said he was pleased at how smoothly the installation went and with attention and service the printer received from Suntek, MLP U.S.A.'s sales affiliate in Mexico.

Noting that productivity is on the rise as a result of adding the Diamond 1000LS, the younger Flores remarked, "Now that we have this new press, we are growing!"
