Hear Dr. Joe Webb’s Contrarian Outlook on the Recovery and What’s Ahead in Upcoming Economic Outlook Webinar
Monday, November 23, 2009
Event Sponsored by the WhatTheyThink Peer Groups
Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry economic webinar with forecaster and commentator Dr. Joe Webb. The event will be held Wednesday, December 9th, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EST (-5 GMT).
No-charge registration is available at the webinar registration page.
During this one-hour event, Dr. Joe will provide insight into where we are relative to the state of the economy and discuss what printers should expect—and be doing—in 2010. Advance questions for the webinar Q&A session can be submitted by visiting WhatTheyThink’s Economics & Research Center and selecting “Ask Dr. Joe.”
“We are all tired of this sluggish economy,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. “Dr. Webb will let us know what to expect in the coming year. Whether the news is positive or not, we know Dr. Joe calls it as he sees it. Industry executives don't need sugar-coated forecasts, They need objective and independent perspectives. Dr. Joe’s track record has been excellent in this respect.”
“There is no lack of economic news,’” said Dr. Webb, “I will share with you what the economic reports are NOT saying. I will also be discussing the ongoing evolution of our industry and what printers should be doing to evolve their businesses as well. This last economic webinar of the year is usually the most important because managers have one last chance to fine-tune their approach for the new year.”
Specifically, he will discuss:
- It’s been a year since the collapse, and two years since the recession officially started. Where are we now?
- What the economic reports aren’t saying: A contrarian look at the recovery, what the fine print of the economic data really show, and what’s ahead
- The “new” printing industry (again), and what printers will be doing in 2010
- Dr. Joe’s Winter Reading List: Hot topics for a cold winter.
“This session will be available in the archive, along with all of our other educational sessions, so business owners and managers can revisit the content at any time,” added Davidson. “In addition, by joining a WhatTheyThink peer group, printers can take advantage of real-time knowledge sharing with peers in a safe environment. Peer groups allow members to openly and frankly discuss many of the issues raised in WhatTheyThink webinars presented by Dr. Webb and others, as well as finding support in managing change and growing profitably.”
