The new face of the Harlequin RIP

Press release from the issuing company

Boston, MA - Global Graphics has launched a campaign to encourage Harlequin RIP users to upgrade their software to the latest version. The campaign uses a series of striking images to remind prepress departments that they can greatly improve their competitive position for very little money by simply upgrading their RIP software.

Paul Hagen, Global Graphics' director of graphic arts sales says, "The main reason behind the campaign is that print shops often don't realise that upgrading their RIP might not be as costly as they think. We've calculated that on average the cost is about the equivalent to two weeks press operator time. That's a great ROI considering the time and money they'll save because of the new features and the greatly improved performance of the latest version of the RIP. In these tough economic times we want to draw attention to that. Even users of version 7 will find the new enhancements and speed improvements to be a compelling reason to upgrade. "

The campaign uses a combination of on and offline tactics, notably a three phase postcard mailer targeted at prepress departments, complimented by a three phase email campaign and coverage on social networking sites.

To upgrade their Harlequin RIP print shops should contact their supplier or complete the form at http://www.harlequin.com/upgrade Print shops that have lost contact with their supplier can email [email protected] to be put in touch with the Harlequin RIP network.
