Taopix appoints Vice-President for Americas and opens US Office

Press release from the issuing company

TAOPIX, the British software developer of the TAOPIX V2.5 end-to-end photobook workflow solution, has announced it's opened a sales and marketing office to service the growing North and South American photobook market. The new TAOPIX Americas office, officially opened on 1st November 2009, will be headed up by Gadi Kovarsky, vice president, TAOPIX Americas and based in San Diego. The new office will be tasked with quickly developing strong regional sales and distribution channels for the company's flagship photobook workflow solution in the US, Canada, Latin & South America.

Says James Gray, CEO, TAOPIX:  "We're very excited to be confirming our presence in the American market with a new office and vice president. The key American markets in general have been very successful for us to date; however, all sales have been and managed out of our UK office. This new office will now give us a foot on the ground in a market we see as absolutely essential to our future success.

"Mr Kovarsky brings with him vast experience of growing sales and channels in the Americas over many years, most recently as Director of Sales (Xerox Channel) for web-to-print specialist, PressSense.  He understands the characteristics of the American markets extremely well and has the professional contacts and the drive to ensure the TAOPIX brand quickly becomes a market leader in this key sales region.  We're pleased he has joined the TAOPIX team and are looking forward to having him at the helm of our American operation."

Says Gadi Kovarsky, vice president, TAOPIX Americas: "There is currently a huge opportunity in the global photo book market. It is a thriving, relatively new and highly innovative sector and one that, for the moment at least, has no clear brand as the market leader. What excites me is that TAOPIX is posed to capture this market with what I consider to be a superior product backed up by great customer service.

"There is a major opportunity for a dynamic, genuine end-to-end photo book solution with mid- to large print service providers, especially in North America who have large, established customer bases, good IT capabilities and are looking for real, unique added value services for their customers. I am confident my many years' experience in the area will enable me to rapidly build the presence and recognition of the TAOPIX brand in this key region."
