Publishers Press introduces New Content Management Partnerships

Press release from the issuing company

Shepherdsville, KY - Publishers Press, a publication printer and content distribution provider, announces two new partnerships that will support the company's content management and distribution initiative.

Publishers Press has partnered with Mark Logic as its content repository, and Atex/Temis for content enrichment. The web content management (WCM) portion uses Polopoly software by Atex.

"These partnerships are no different than what we've been doing for more than 140 years," explains Michael Simon, executive vice president at Publishers Press." Each of our presses has components from eight or more different companies that we hand-picked. We're doing the same thing with our digital solutions."

Publishers Press is known for its publication printing and distribution solutions, and has a reputation of adapting to changes in the industry in order to provide solutions to its clients. "The fabric of our company is that we reach out and service small publishers," says Simon. "Our roots are deep in ink and paper but at the same time the best move we could make was to enter the fray of content management."

Publishers are expected to serve content through multiple channels, and they need a way to manage that content. A CMS is essential for helping publishers reach their readers wherever they are.

This system will allow clients to manage content for print and web distribution and will be available as a software as a service (SaaS) model. Clients will be able to feed their content through a variety of channels at an affordable price. The system also integrates with the company's other digital offerings such as e-mail marketing, digital editions, and analytics.

"Publishers Press has a long history of serving the publishing industry and we are proud to partner with them for Atex Polopoly Web CMS," said John Hawkins, Atex Group CEO. "These capabilities are available to a wider array of publishers than ever before to help these companies enhance their digital capabilities and generate new revenue online."

As magazine publishers migrate toward more dynamic digital publishing solutions, the content services offered by Publishers Press will give them the tools they need to successfully navigate these digital channels. According to Simon: "The solutions we're providing are spot-on with the needs of the industry."
