Creps United Publications brings new Goss web press into production

Press release from the issuing company

Creps United Publications, a specialist in regional and national retail insert printing, brought a new Goss web press with DigiRail digital inking technology into production in October at its facility in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

The C550 system is the fourth new Goss insert press installed by Creps United since 2001. The press was added to increase overall capacity, according to Jake Creps, a partner with the company. He says the performance of the previous Goss presses, along with the advanced makeready and efficiency features of the new C550 system led to the selection.

"From the start, our operators have been very impressed with the consistency and the operability of the DigiRail technology," Creps explains. "Once the ink settings are established, they don't have to adjust them, and this allows them to achieve very high print quality with less effort and less waste."

The four-unit C550 system features a 50 inch web width and is equipped with a C700 folder.

"Our retail insert volumes remain strong, and we were outsourcing some of our work prior to installing the new press," according to Creps. He credits cooperation between his crews and the Goss International team for the successful, on-schedule installation. "We have worked with many of the same people throughout the recent press installations," he explains. "We feel that our relationship with Goss International and our experience with leading-edge Goss technology create advantages that we can pass on to our customers."

"The new C550 press further extends our production platform and gives us even more versatility to put jobs on the most efficient and appropriate press possible," according to Creps.
