QuadTech unveils new innovations at ICE

Press release from the issuing company

Sussex, WI – QuadTech, Inc., the worldwide leader and innovator of press control technology, will be unveiling new products for the Packaging and Converting markets at the International Converting Exhibition (ICE), to be held November 24-26 in Munich, Germany. ICE is Europe's leading exhibition for paper, film and foil converting.

"Quite a few companies have cut back on research and development expenses because of the economy," said Karl Fritchen, President of QuadTech. "We've taken the opposite approach. QuadTech has invested more effort into R&D this year than we have in any of our previous 30 years, and we have some exciting innovations that we expect will have a big impact on the Packaging and Converting markets."

Among the new product introductions is the QuadTech Inspection System with SpectralCam, which accurately measures color information in the printed image. SpectralCam delivers L*a*b* data for precise, cost-effective color management.

The QuadTech Offline Inspection System detects such subtle variances as logo defects, missing and filled-in text, incorrect fonts and inaccurate barcodes. Its granular detection capabilities make it an ideal choice for printers who work with pharmaceutical, tobacco, food, medical and other quality-conscious clients.

QuadTech PDF Verification is a software add-on that compares approved artwork against an actual printed sample to verify correct press setup, ensuring accuracy and quality. This allows printers to catch errors before they print.

"Since our acquisition of Vigitek in 2008, we've not only been working to enhance the existing product line," said Fritchen, "we've also had our engineering teams sharing knowledge to develop new product offerings."

For ICE, QuadTech experts will be available at Hall 1, Stand 1-X07 to explain the advantages of the company's entire product line. Some of the highlights include:

The QuadTech Autotron 2600 with ClearLogic Register Guidance System provides complete control regardless of substrate, ink, or printing technique. The system is an integrated, flexible and cost-efficient tool for minimizing waste and improving print quality across packaging and decorative printing applications.

The QuadTech Inspection System utilizes the most sophisticated defect analysis in the industry to provide 100% inspection on 100% of your print or non-print product, web or sheet, 100% of the time.

QuadTech Data Central for Inspection monitors, audits, stores and generates reports of both live and historical data to optimize quality control. It provides accurate, intelligent information about your print processes so you can make more effective and strategic quality control decisions.

The QuadTech Waste Management System provides automated control for optimized waste removal. The system gives you unparalleled access to the data you want. List data on every defect or just print a high-level overview. You can also export reports to be analyzed by third-party statistical tools to help identify unwanted production trends.
