Grafica Editora Pallotti selects Goss M-600 press for new Brazilian facility

Press release from the issuing company

Grafica Editora Pallotti has ordered a Goss M-600 press for a brand new facility located in Sao Leopoldo, Southern Brazil. The new press will be used to print a variety of products including books, magazines, guides and inserts, and will be in production by Spring 2010.

Romeu Ullrich, Director at Grafica Editora Pallotti, comments, "We continually strive for excellence in print quality, and the M-600 press fits our exact criteria. When the decision was made to invest in another commercial press we had to ensure that the quality equaled or was better than that of our existing systems. Our experience with our existing M-600 press at the Porto Alegre facility led us once again to invest with Goss International, as we have always been very happy with the quality and service we have received. The new M-600 model is the perfect choice."

The new press will be configured as four units with one web, a JF-55 folder, Goss Ecotherm dryer, Contiweb SH splicer and Omnicon press controls. With a web width of 965 mm (38 inches), it will print at up to 55,000 copies per hour.

The Grafica Editora Pallotti facility in Porto Alegre has two four-color commercial printing presses, each with its own finishing line. Together, both presses produce and average of 28 million copies per month and over 300 million copies per year.

According to Vitor Dragone, general manager at Goss International's Brazilian sales office, "The M-600 is the world's most popular 16-page commercial web press. Once again, we are delighted that this product has proven its outstanding print quality to secure another investment by Grafica Editora Pallotti."
Ullrich concludes, "We are very proud to be the first customer of Goss Brazil and are confident that our successful partnership will help us to offer the best products and customer service to the market."
