ARC introduces PlanWell DataBridge software

Press release from the issuing company

WALNUT CREEK, CA -- American Reprographics Company, the nation's leading provider of reprographics services and technology, today announced the general availability of PlanWell DataBridge, the Company's data synchronization software. PlanWell DataBridge automates the exchange of construction information between PlanWell Enterprise planrooms and Prolog software, an industry leading construction project management solution from Meridian Systems. PlanWell DataBridge eliminates redundant data entry, automates project updates, and boosts efficiency and communication within construction project teams.

"By synchronizing project data between document management and project management systems, and eliminating the manual, redundant and error-prone processes that are currently required, construction professionals can realize significant increases in productivity," said Kumar Wiratunga, ARC's Director of Technology. "When a project manager enters information in either application, the information is updated in both systems within minutes."

"Providing best of breed project management to our Prolog customers includes delivering interoperability to other technology systems, and we congratulate ARC on delivering this new PlanWell product," said Bruno Berti, Senior Director of Product Management at Meridian Systems. "The DataBridge integration is a great example of the innovation that the Prolog technology platform enables, and provides a valuable tool for Prolog customers who want to further streamline project management processes."

PlanWell DataBridge allows Prolog users to:
-- Share common data between applications
-- Synchronize project information, bid packages and contacts
-- Maintain current document sets and contacts
-- Easily start up projects by leveraging indexed data in PlanWell Enterprise.

PlanWell DataBridge requires no investment in additional hardware or dedicated infrastructure to run. Data synchronization occurs entirely over an internet connection and is updated dynamically within minutes of data entry.

"In today's economy, we are required to do more with less," said Frank Carlson, Director of Business Applications at Adolfson & Peterson Construction, a Prolog customer that has been evaluating PlanWell DataBridge in recent months. "The PlanWell DataBridge eliminates the manual entry of data into Prolog, allowing our construction teams to be more productive."

American Reprographics Company is a Meridian Independent Software Vendor (ISV). In developing PlanWell DataBridge, ARC made use of Prolog Connect, Meridian's advanced Web services platform that enables flexible integrations with other software systems over the internet, regardless of location or device type.
