Goss International takes direct approach to sales and support

Press release from the issuing company

Goss International is implementing changes to the sales and service structure supporting Goss commercial and newspaper product lines in Germany and Switzerland.

Goss International has set up a direct sales organization for the commercial market. Under the direction of Frank Einzweiler, Goss International area sales manager, the new arrangement is designed to build on existing customer relationships and strengthen market awareness of the Goss brand.

Aftermarket service, support and parts supply for commercial press installations will now be provided by Heidelberg's Web Systems organization (HWS). Headquartered in Vienna, HWS has an extensive workforce including a network of engineers and technicians based in Germany. The company already represents Goss International in Austria as well as many Eastern European countries.

Currently working with Goss International in the German and Swiss markets, Schlappner GmbH will now take on responsibility for all sales support, service and spare parts for newspaper press systems in these territories. The Krefeld-based newspaper specialist, under owner Klaus Schlappner, was initially appointed by Goss International in 2007 to complement services performed by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen Deutschland in the newspaper sector.

Commenting on the new dedicated structure, Frank Einzweiler is confident that it will introduce a new momentum for Goss International sales in Germany and Switzerland. "This arrangement will strengthen the lines of communication and ensure that this territory benefits from a new integrated approach," says Einzweiler. "We've studied our existing sales and support network in the region very carefully and reorganized to leverage skills and expertise, ultimately ensuring we have more direct contact with the market. The Goss web offset portfolio is recognized for continuous innovation that addresses ever-changing markets, pushing boundaries and creating opportunities. The team we have in place now is ideally skilled and positioned to ensure these products and technologies will benefit German and Swiss markets."
