Polestar and ShortList Media conclude magazine deal

Press release from the issuing company

Polestar and ShortList Media have successfully concluded a deal for the production of two weekly titles.

Polestar Varnicoat is to print the new magazine, Stylist, from its launch issue, out today, and, in January 2010, this will be joined by the existing men's title, ShortList.

Stylist is a free women's weekly fashion magazine, 400,000 copies of which will be distributed at locations across London, Brighton, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds and Birmingham. This new title comes two years after the launch of ShortList, which achieved a January to June 2009 ABC figure of over 510,000.

Mike Soutar, Chief Executive of ShortList Media, says: "We're absolutely delighted to be working with Polestar on the launch of Stylist. We were very impressed by the Polestar team's commitment to high quality and service and look forward to building a strong, long-term relationship with them. It makes sense for us to house both of our titles at the same plant, so ShortList will also move to Polestar from the start of next year. We thank Prinovis for their excellent work on ShortList since launch."

James Povey, Marketing Director – Polestar UK Print, says: "We are really pleased to be starting a new working relationship with the ShortList Media team on such a scale. These titles are great for Polestar Varnicoat because they complement the site's existing portfolio of high profile weekly gravure titles so well - both from a quality and scheduling perspective."
