Network PDF announces the Spanish Partner program for the JDF Education Initiative

Press release from the issuing company

Graphics of the Americas, Miami, FL - March 2, 2007 - Network PDF, a team of experts working together to connect IT and production across a global network using industry standards, announces the Spanish Partner program for the JDF Education Initiative. The program, in partnership with the Printing Industries of Florida, was aptly introduced during a news conference today at Graphics of the Americas in Miami, FL. The project is intended as a helpful resource for Latin American organizations that wish to promote the benefits of JDF practices. In fact, Network PDF is actively inviting participation and collaboration from across the Latin American associations and Spanish-speaking countries to support the JDF Education Initiative, which will benefit the printing industry as a whole. Spanish versions of the Network PDF educational content include the 32-page publication JDF: A Guide for Managers, and the JDF Pocket Guide (available as a PDF for download or as a printed brochure) from CIP4, PIA/GATF and IDEAlliance web sites. JDF: A Guide for Managers makes JDF understandable for non-technical decision makers, explaining the process, answering important questions in business terms, and providing next steps and other valuable tools. An English version of the guide was published by the BRIDG'S Committee and was widely acclaimed by industry leaders and printers alike. "Network PDF continues to develop our entire series of educational content that will promote the practical understanding of industry standards and best practices. We believe that education can begin to bridge the gap between creative and production departments and promote better understanding across customers, vendors and partners," comments Janice Reese, Executive Director of Network PDF. "Network PDF does this through its Print Education Program, which gives sponsor-partners featured promotion and options for branded versions of educational materials for their own educational initiatives. And now, we can provide these services bilingually to benefit a much larger audience." Those desiring to learn more about Network PDF's Print Education Program and to get involved in sponsorship opportunities can contact Janice Reese ([email protected]) or, in Spanish, Karla Ordoñez ([email protected]).
