Fort Lauderdale, Florida – BCT held its 2009 annual Franchisee of the Year award ceremony in a private banquet room on the 95th Floor of the Hancock Building in downtown Chicago. This year's Franchisee of the Year is BCT Pittsburgh, owned by Paul & Melissa Meinert.
 
Nominees for BCT's annual award are chosen based on ten criteria. This year there were 5 nominees that met all ten criteria. The five Nominees were: BCT Houston, BCT Austin, BCT Ottawa, BCT Denver and BCT Pittsburgh.
 
Despite the difficult economic climate, BCT Pittsburgh continued to grow. Paul & Melissa also completed the acquisition of another plant in Beltsville, MD. Paul and Melissa were present to accept the award in Chicago. "It has been a challenging year but the support of the network and BCT Corporate helped us achieve our objectives," according to Paul Meinert. "We have a great team working with us in Pittsburgh and they deserve much of the credit," Melissa added.
