By diluting concentrated AltraWash Blue according to specifications, Thomas also found that he used less chemical than was necessary with the cleaner used previously. The automatic anilox roll cleaning machine stays clean without leaving residue in the processing tank, and the unit's filter extracts ink solids, so no sludge is retained in the chemical holding tank.

AltraWash Blue is a concentrated cleaner formulated specifically for cleaning UV and solvent-based inks in pressure washing systems, soak tanks and ultrasonic tanks. It also can be used simply as an on-press anilox cleaner, and is useful for cleaning printing plates.

With a pH of 11.8, the cleaner's advanced surfactant technology is exceedingly environmentally friendly, using no petroleum distillates or environmentally hazardous chemicals. It is a biodegradable, low-V.O.C. product, and has low vapor pressure.
