Press release from the issuing company

Ann Arbor, Michigan – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management software and workflow solutions, today announced strong sales of its newly released workflow solution as a result of participation at the PRINT 09 trade show in Chicago earlier this month.

"Xitron focused on the serious buyers in attendance at PRINT 09," stated Mark Eisenschenk, Xitron's President and Chief Executive Officer. "Attendees visiting our booth were ready to buy our affordable, easy-to-use and highly effective software solution. They placed a variety of orders at the show accordingly. Printers realize that in order to best compete in today's market, they must continue to make investments in technology, especially in technology that will either extend the useful life of their existing capital investment or make their complex job management processes more efficient and effective."

At the show Xitron demonstrated a complete line of workflow and web-to-print solutions, including Navigator Elite workflow. Navigator Elite workflow is a modular workflow based on a Harlequin core with a Xitron developed workflow. It provides extensive features required by busy prepress departments including:
- Controllable job management and ticketing capabilities
- Integrated soft proofing
- Output device control and feedback at operator workstations
- PDF creation and preflighting
- Ink remapping
- Imposition Integration with Dynagram inpO2 family of imposition solutions
- Scriptable hot folders
- TIFF job grouping
- Integrated web-to-print option
- Press ink key calculation with KeySetter option
- Inkjet proofing options for Epson, Canon and HP wide format printers
- ROOM proofing option

"When we developed our Navigator Elite workflow our goal was to provide printers with a powerful, robust workflow solution at cost that is a fraction of what other workflow vendors charge," continued Eisenschenk. "Based on the positive response we received at the PRINT 09 trade show, it appears our new Navigator Elite workflow product release will be a big success."
