Vpress offers free systems at Canon web-to-print seminar

Press release from the issuing company

As one of the most established web-to-print software providers in the UK, Vpress is supporting the next Future of Print Seminar, hosted by Canon UK and in conjunction with the BPIF, and the company is offering attendees the chance to win one of three of its Coreprint systems.  Ecommerce Manager Kelvin Bell will be presenting at the event, which is designed to enable delegates to gain a better understanding of the technology and see some of the solutions in practice.

Kelvin Bell says: "Even though we have been developing this software for nearly ten years, web-to-print is still the new kid on the block to many organisations.  By coming along to this workshop, the attendees have demonstrated a need to know more and how to develop a strategy behind it.  By offering the opportunity to win one of our systems on the day, we hope that at least three companies will leave the event ready to move their business on to the next stage straight away."

Launched in 2001 and one of the first web-based software systems on the market, Coreprint has been and continues to be developed in response to market demands.  It offers a complete procurement tool, either standalone or integrated into other procurement systems such as Oracle, Ariba and SAP.  Asset management and personalisation facilities have recently been added, with the system providing a "direct to press" interface, what a true "web2print" offering should be, adds Kelvin Bell. "Efficiency and costs are the factors upon which a number of decisions are being made at the present time.  By enhancing the Coreprint system, we are able to provide greater efficiency and lower costs in one go."

The three Coreprint systems on offer will enable an organisation to manage an unlimited number of non-variable products for themselves or one of their customers, as well as providing a free variable stationery or marketing collateral template of their choice, a free digital asset management solution offering up to 1gb of free storage, free branding to match their own or their customer's brand, and free training and support.

The Web-to-Print seminar is designed to showcase the potential of the technology as an essential part of a business strategy, as part of Canon's Essential Business Builder Program (EBBP).

'The Future of Print - Don't get left behind' module explores industry drivers and success strategies, as well as highlighting the risks, benefits and potential returns from investing in Web to Print.  The aim of the seminar is to advise decision makers on how to achieve their business goals and the best way to implement this using a Web-to-Print strategy.

Vpress is one of the suppliers chosen to support the workshop so that delegates can gain a better understanding whilst seeing some of the solutions in practice.  It will be hosted by industry expert and director of W2P Ltd, Peter Lancaster.

The event is complimentary to Canon and Vpress customers and BPIF members.   For full details, go to: http://www.canon.co.uk/businessbuilder/the_trainingworkshops/the_future_of_print_dont_get_left_behind.asp
