Pixart. It announces launch of new dedicated luxury packaging production facility

Friday, September 25, 2009

Press release from the issuing company

Marghera, Italy: Pixart.it, the European leader in web-to-print, has further enhanced its online print offering by launching a new sophisticated production division to support the company's growing range of packaging services. The company has also launched a dedicated catalogue – 'Ready to Personalise' - at www.pixart.it that offers customers a wide range of personalised packaging solutions.

Speed, quality and optimum personalisation are the main features of Pixart.it's new packaging service. Premium results are guaranteed by the new production department's state-of-the-art equipment. Pixart.it has invested in a new Océ Arizona 350 XT system, for high quality flatbed printing of boxes exceeding 45 x 64 cm in size. This printer is supported by a new Rabollini die-cutter, which maximises precision and clean cutting of boxes up to 120 x 160 cm in size. It is also characterised by its high punching platen speed, which further enhances the company's work-flow and 24/48 hour delivery service.

These new machines support the company's extensive range of existing equipment. Among the systems already in operation, eight Zund plotters - for precise cutting without trimming - and six HP Indigo 7000 printers - used to print medium to small boxes from 32 to 45 cm in size - will be also destined for the packaging operation. The new production department's equipment combined with the skills of Pixart.it's professional technicians guarantees the production of packaging - selected either from the catalogue or produced directly from the customer's file - in any shape or size, accommodating the smallest of print runs.

The 'Ready to Personalise' catalogue contains a vast range of packaging created by expert designers, offering the user a wide choice of ready-made solutions under three product lines: Promotional, Delivery and Folders.  The Promotional line includes boxes in an extensive range of shapes and sizes; the Delivery line offers packaging that is distinguished by its elegance and durability, with the Folders line provides folders in various formats.  Having selected a product based on requirement, customers can download the template - produce personalised graphics based on their marketing requirements - before sending the file to print.  Delivery will, as usual, be within 24/48 hours throughout Europe.

In addition to choosing best-in-class equipment for the production of its range of products, Pixart.it has selected premium paper and cardboards, including Fedrigoni products, that are specifically intended for packaging and creative professionals. In addition, X-Rite chromatic calibration with its hundreds of control spots allows the company to reproduce the colour schemes of the work received with maximum accuracy.
