Dr. John Leniniger Leads VDP Seminar

CLEMSON, SC, USA-- Clemson University will again host the popular VDP Seminar, Variable Data Printing: Databases, Design, Delivery, May 14-15, 2009. This thoroughly hands-on, laptop based program continues to address the latest opportunities for companies to learn the basics of VDP. It is not only an excellent overview of the full scope of the process, but is extremely detailed in the key areas that makes up VDP. The value added approach to printing is ideal for those wanting to target there advertising reach, increase their direct mail ROI or optimize their digital press capabilities.

The program is lead by Clemson University Graphic Communications Professor, Dr. John Leininger, Co-founder of the VDP Hands-on Training Consortium and veteran of over 200 national seminars and conferences. John accepted the 2008 Innovation Award for Continuing Education from the Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF) during the On Demand Conference. John was recognized for his highly effective approach to VDP training within the industry for this very workshop.

In this training, attendees will be immersed in all aspects of VDP from database management and postal requirements to current VDP design software and creative techniques to build a powerful and effective personalized marketing piece. "The real key to effective personalization is understanding the power of database management in the overall design", points out Dr. Leniniger. He adds, "In this updated session, special emphasis will be dedicated to all aspects of the database management process."

The training is ideal for those new to VDP including graphic designers and sales staff as well as prepress and production managers, database managers, mailing houses and companies with digital presses that want to expand their markets.
