Finlay Finds Cross-Media Integration With XMPie

NEW YORK -- Finlay, a 134 year-old commercial printer based in Bloomfield, CT, sought to move beyond its collection of point solutions for personalization to produce more efficient and effective integrated one-to-one marketing campaigns. After significant research and rigorous investigation, the company selected XMPie PersonalEffect, which emerged as the holistic solution they required.
Prior to enlisting XMPie, Finlay relied on a suite of point solutions – hosted, off-the-shelf and homegrown – to deliver cross-media campaigns for its customers. The staff managed separate systems for each media and function, making the inefficient process increasingly unrealistic as demand for the company's cross-media offerings grew.
"When you're really successful in this business, you have to reevaluate where you are and where you want to go," said Todd Kalagher, president, Finlay. "We had five systems that ran like a three-ring circus and we knew they were never going to talk to each other. We needed highly sophisticated integration and when we got down to that, there was no other solution for us, but XMPie."
In a matter of weeks, Finlay installed the full software suite and trained its entire staff. The company then immediately transitioned all of its one-to-one marketing production to the PersonalEffect system. Finlay's PersonalEffect solution is also integrated with Software Marketing Associates' PRO-MAIL offering, providing the company with on-demand personalized Web-to-print capabilities unified with a fulfillment management information system. This combined solution streamlines processes for Finlay and provides one-stop shopping for its clients.
According to Kalagher, though the step was big, it was one they had to take. The streamlined processes would not only speed up production, but also prove to be less costly and a growth engine for the company. 
Finlay also anticipates that uProduce Marketing Console, XMPie's solution for tracking and analyzing cross-media campaign results, will be of significant benefit. With it, Finlay's customers can track and analyze live campaigns and adjust them on-the-fly for optimal results.
