Sakurai 40" Screen Press at Interstate Graphics

(SCHAUMBURG, IL)  Sakurai USA, Inc. has installed a Model SC 102AII, 40” Cylinder Screen Press at Interstate Graphics Inc., a successful, family owned screen and digital printer located near Rockford, Illinois in Machesney Park.   Interstate Graphics was founded 23 years ago and now operates from a 24,000 square feet, state-of-the art production facility.

Markets served by Interstate Graphics include: Equipment manufacturers; Point of Purchase; Decal buyers, Marketing firms and as a trade printer - numerous other printing firms.   Their customer base includes Illinois but Interstate ships throughout the entire country.

“We use our Sakurai Screen Cylinder Press mostly for printing decals, thin sheets, spot coating, printing on vinyl, printing on Styrene for shelf talkers, and lots of POP displays,” according to John Norwood, Jr., General Manager, Interstate Graphics.  “Registration is great, set-up is quick, and it’s easy to changeover from job to job.  Also, the Sakurai complements our array of two 5-colors presses and a flatbed digital press,”   Norwood added.

Sakurai’s SC Series high speed screen cylinder presses feature a reciprocal rotary cylinder mechanism and have been manufactured and sold around the world since its introduction in 1968.  The SC offers various size products for printed materials from cards to large format posters. The SC operates at speeds up to 3,300 sheets peer hour and accepts a sheet size up to 28 3/8” x 40 1/8”.  Sakurai screen presses are capable of printing on a wide range of substrates such as plastic film for electronic applications, membrane switches, display panels, touch screens, etc, as well as paper, board and foil.  Accurate spot coating and special effects are handled easily for value-added features.

“When it came to selecting a screen press, the choice was Sakurai, based on our long time relationship with Sakurai’s National Sales Manger for Screen Press Products, David Rose,” 
stated Norwood. “When we’ve had issues, which were few, Sakurai had someone out here to look at our machine right away.”
