Press release from the issuing company

Philadelphia, PA -- Xanté is fast becoming the hero of small and midsize prepress and print shops needing competitive, state-of-the-art technology at practical price points.  Visitors to On Demand Expo booth 2424, in Philadelphia from March 31 to April 2, will see Xanté’s broad range of solutions. These solutions make Xanté a leading single source provider of a complete line of products: including platesetters, digital color presses, all-in-one PDF workflows, plate processors, plates and chemistry -- for all printing demands.

“Printers today want to enhance their capabilities in the most cost-effective ways possible.  Our customers have come to rely on us to offer solutions that enable them to add profitable niche printing applications to their existing business plans, and our latest systems continue in that tradition,” says Robert Ross, CEO and founder of Xanté.

New Ilumina Digital Envelope Press+
The Ilumina Digital Envelope Press+, with output on envelopes up to 13”x15”, gives small to mid-sized shops the ability to print up to 60 full-color envelopes per minute. Its 800 piece input capacity supports volume production demands such as those needed for trans-promo applications. All Ilumina devices can print on window envelopes.
Customers can also utilize the versatile Ilumina-based system to produce full-color page mailings from its 530-sheet cassette, which has the ability to handle up to 12”x18” paper. The single-pass large format laser based system is Adobe PostScript driven and designed to be fast and ready for volume production. It can produce full color output at up to 36 ppm and monochrome output up to 40 ppm.
New Ilumina 502 Digital Production Press (Introducing at On Demand 2009)
New Ilumina 502 Digital Production Press is a high capacity version of the company’s best-selling digital color press. Equipped with a 530-sheet cassette capable of handling up to 12”x18” paper, the Ilumina 502 Digital Production Press supports automated production of on demand color prints including oversized, ultra thick cover jobs.

The Ilumina 502 Digital Production Press easily handles a wide range of paper weights, from text to ultra thick cover, 75 to 502 gsm, at an affordable price. Print shops can now make money producing short run four-color jobs faster than ever on a wide range of substrates that have been previously unavailable for digital printing. The Ilumina 502 Digital Production Press is capable of printing fiber-enhanced papers such as textured canvas, sleek metallic, cast coated, and magnetic stocks.

PlateMaker5 Total Prepress System
Xanté PlateMaker 5 is a total prepress system with the ability to produce polyester plates, film and paper proofs designed specifically for the small commercial printers and print shops in need of a low cost, high quality, chemical-free CTP system.  Powered by Xanté patented and patent-pending technologies, this system brings drastically improved halftones and tighter registration to the two-up portrait press marketplace.

Z-7 technology ensures clean plates, crisp film, sharp images, high line screens, accurate registration, and exact halftones.  Innovative Z-Dot technology allows for more control over dot gain while also enabling photographs and screens to be imaged smoothly with 356 shades of gray (150 lpi).  Z-Dot also enables halftone screens to be easily controlled and for tints and graduations to have smoother, more consistent output than ever before.

Xanté is the world’s largest manufacturer of electro photographic CTP devices, with thousands of print shops worldwide owning PlateMaker series devices.
