Solimar To Unveil Print Director Enterprise 7.0 at On Demand

Press release from the issuing company

SAN DIEGO, CA -- Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, today announced enhancements to the Solimar Print Director Enterprise (SPDE). Solimar's client-server enterprise output management solution is designed to optimize production, especially transactional, processes. SPDE, along with all of Solimar's solution suite, will be on display during the AIIM On Demand Conference & Expo at Philadelphia's Pennsylvania Convention Center in booth #1949 from March 31-April 2, 2009.

The latest version of SPDE adds support for 64-bit Microsoft operating systems. The new functionality enables SPDE to run expanded workflows and to process very large files.

"Many of our clients will benefit from the new SPDE 64-bit support," stated Mary Ann Rowan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Organizations producing highly resource-intensive TransPromo applications, including applications containing graphical content, will be able to accept larger file sizes while enjoying improved system processing. SPDE 7.0 users can get much more work accomplished in a shorter period of time."

As interest in TransPromotional workflows expands, the use of color with transactional documents is becoming more popular, and SPDE 7.0 provides expanded support for color workflows.

Version 7.0 also has a new Dynamic Job View feature that offers operators and administrators greater flexibility to manage and monitor production workflows by automatically creating folder-based views of jobs entering the system based on attributes of each job. By providing alternative UI options and workflow views, users can work in environments that are most comfortable and efficient for them. The addition of the Dynamic Job View feature demonstrates Solimar's continued commitment to delivering a flexible and powerful platform for managing connectivity and conversion workflows.

"Solimar has developed several enhancements to support enterprise deployments and enable more complex Automated Document Factory (ADF) workflows," added Rowan. "Whether SPDE is driving a few production printers or a large enterprise of devices, these new features help our clients manage production workflows and job processing from one centralized dashboard."
