Flatbed printer from Inca at ISA Sign Expo

Press release from the issuing company

The Inca Spyder V (a faster printer version of the popular and highly successful Spyder series of flatbed inkjet printers) will be demonstrated at Inca Digital’s distribution partner Fujifilm Sericol USA’s booth (#4105) during the ISA International Sign Expo 2009, at the Mandalay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, from April 16-18. The Spyder V printer has a unique Inca-designed printhead array, achieving faster throughput than other Spyder models. With print speeds up to 1,001ft2/hr in production mode, the Spyder V delivers approximately a 30% speed increase in comparable print quality modes to Spyder 320 printers.

The Spyder V has all the standard Spyder features and is available in four-color CMYK, lights, a white option or a six-color version, using Fujifilm Sericol’s unique Uvijet Ultratone color system.

The Inca Spyder V’s 28-picolitre drop size, combined with Inca's own unique printhead module design, delivers precise ink drop placement, producing the excellent print quality for which Inca is renowned. Its easy file set-up with a Wasatch or ColorGATE RIP, color management flexibility, and the wide color gamut provided by Uvijet Ultratone inks, enable operators to match a range of Pantone colors. Along with the exceptional opacity of Uvijet white ink, the Spyder V is an outstanding printer for cost effective production of a wide range of point-of-sale materials including external displays, backlit/frontlit displays and printing graphics on a wide variety of substrates.

The Spyder V complements other Spyder models.  Its faster speed fills the gap between the traditional Spyder 320 series and the faster Inca Turbo Plus, which delivers speeds of up to 1722ft2/hr. For customers requiring the widest color gamut, the 8-color Spyder 320 is still the preferred option.

“Although the Spyder 320 is our most popular printer, customer feedback told us that they would like a Spyder printer with speeds closer to that of our Turbos. The Spyder V delivers faster speeds and more productivity with the capability to produce up to 18 beds of output per hour,” explains Heather Kendle, Inca Digital’s director of marketing. “Now, our customers can be even more productive, allowing them extra capacity than was previously available with the Spyder 320, while still offering versatility on color options. The Spyder V, with four, white, or six-color options provides our customers an even greater selection of Spyder printers from which to choose.”

In addition to the Spyder V, Fujifilm Sericol USA will feature at ISA a video demonstration of the Inca Onset  press (recipient of a PIA/GATF Intertech™ Technology Award for 2008) and the newer Onset S20, highlighting both machines’ amazing throughput, print quality and the option of gloss or satin finish. For all its sophistication, Onset printers are extremely easy to operate by one operator, with a nominal 20-minute set up time at the start of each day. The Onset has already been installed in the USA, Canada, UK and Europe, while the S20, currently in beta, will be available for USA installs in the summer.
