Imposition Capabilities Go Online

Press release from the issuing company

A web-based, ‘pay-as-you-go’ imposition tool has been made available for the global market.  As the first of its kind, Impose Online, allows users to impose most pdf documents, as needed, via an easy, step-by-step online interface.

Anyone can now upload a pdf, select from a range of standard imposition layouts (or create their own), then apply page gutters, bleed, trim marks, registration marks and colour bars. Within seconds, the imposed pdf can be downloaded, ready for use. And for a limited time, the service is completely free.

Impose Online can take a single business card and impose it x-up on a page or take a multiple page pdf and impose to a saddle-stitched or perfect-bound layout, ready for booklet printing. With full control over page rotation and numbering, the simple yet powerful controls make Impose Online a real alternative to the high-cost solutions currently available.

Bruce Rayne of Branchus Creations and developer of Impose Online believes that many will find this service a huge time and money saver. “Unlike the imposition applications that exist on the market, Impose Online offers an easy, convenient and cost-effective way of doing things. Our pricing structure will be based on how much users impose, meaning there’s no large financial outlay. For the ‘casual imposer’ who may only impose a handful of documents a year, this is a very inexpensive alternative.

“In fact, we will only start charging once we are completely happy with the service.  Charges will
be applied at a very affordable $1 per imposed pdf sheet.  This means a 32 page document,
imposed 8 up, (which is in reality 4 imposed sheets), will cost $4.   (Prices are quoted in US dollars.)

Rayne said that paying for the service will be quick and convenient.  “Users will be able to
buy credits, available in batches of 20, 50 and 100 using PayPal, with discounts for larger
purchases. Credits will be valid for up to 12 months after the date of purchase.

“We will also be listening very carefully to our users,” Rayne added. “It’s our aim to expand the capabilities of Impose Online to meet the needs of our customers and this will be based on the feedback we receive.”

For a limited time, Impose Online is free to try.  Users are required to complete a simple registration process and they are ready to start. Step-by-step instructions, capabilities and limitations are detailed on the website.
