Seminars highlight environmental solutions through MIS

Shuttleworth Business Systems, in conjunction with the Howard Smith Paper Group and The Print Circle have hosted a number of seminars to Shuttleworth users at Howard Smith Paper Group’s Northampton head office. 

The focus of the seminars has been;
- What is driving the print market for certified products?
- How to manage the requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) schemes using the latest developments in The Shuttleworth MIS
- How to market your FSC & PEFC investment to win business.

Using the latest version of The Shuttleworth MIS (release 4.02), clients can now utilise innovative developments allowing them to update paper prices, paper attributes and the appropriate FSC or PEFC claim directly from Howard Smith’s online system.  Importantly the FSC and PEFC claim requirements for the finished product, client quotes, delivery notes and invoices can now be handled automatically by The Shuttleworth MIS.  Additionally it will provide critical management reports to ensure the annual FSC or PEFC audit requirement is fulfilled. As a result Shuttleworth can offer an easy to use solution to manage environmental certification through their MIS system.

The Shuttleworth FSC and PEFC developments have been assisted by advice from The Print Circle, a network of specialist consultants set up to provide cost-effective support to the printing and allied trades.  They have developed a tried-and-tested approach to assist companies implement documented systems and procedures meeting the requirements of the latest FSC and PEFC chain of custody standards.

Due to the positive response to these seminars, Shuttleworth will be hosting two additional dates, 11th March in Slough and 26th in Warrington.
