RSA Launches New and Enhanced Enterprise Workflow Products at GOA/Xplor

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY, February 26, 2007 – Rochester Software Associates, Inc. (RSA) an industry-leading supplier of print workflow solutions, will introduce several new and enhanced products at Graphics of the Americas/Xplor in Miami, Fla. March 2nd - 4th. Additionally, RSA representatives will be discussing workflow solutions at several speaking engagements during this annual tradeshow for the Printing Industry. The latest version of RSA’s Web Submission System, WebCRD™ has introduced numerous feature enhancements, including the WebCRD Production Dashboard as well as additional Enterprise Integration capabilities. The Production Dashboard is a powerful tool that the Print Center will immediately appreciate. Operators can literally see ‘at-a-glance’ a live status of all how many impressions/orders/jobs are in the production workflow, and filter by job status (i.e. received, make ready, printing, printed, etc.) and by job characteristics such as date, stock, and color versus B&W. “Imagine how useful the WebCRD Dashboard can be for your production environment,” noted AnnMarie Link, RSA’s Product Manager for WebCRD and QDirect™. “Instead of being reactive, Print Center Operators and Managers can now proactively and accurately anticipate production demand for their entire print facility, and are able to plan more accurately for rush orders, routing, paper stock, toner, and other consumables... with time to breathe! The WebCRD Production Dashboard is yet another capability that Print Managers will wonder how they ever lived without… a comment we frequently hear at RSA. As the standard policy of RSA, all of our WebCRD customers under maintenance are entitled to such enhancements at no additional charge!” WebCRD’s significant Enterprise Integration capabilities have also been upgraded. Using WebCRD’s standards-based Web Services architecture, including XML, external systems can interface with WebCRD and actually place orders without any user interaction! The customer’s external system can even lookup order status and process the results. WebCRD already offers the fastest submit in the industry, with single-screen ticketing. Now, with this capability, orders can now be placed with zero clicks! RSA will also be launching their latest transform offering, VIPP Print™, a solution that converts VIPP (Variable-data Intelligent PostScript PrintWare) transactional production print output to industry standard PostScript. “This enables customers to print VIPP output on any production PostScript printer,” observed Todd Bernhard, Director of Marketing. “VIPP Print builds on RSA’s heritage of powerful transform solutions, such as M.I.S. Print™ and IPDSPrint™.” Xplor attendees will be able to see first-hand RSA’s Enterprise Workflow System in booth #514 including WebCRD, QDirect, and their other submit, transform, and management solutions. Additionally, attendees can learn more about RSA by attending Dave Vanable’s presentation “A UNIVERSAL WORKFLOW”. Mr. Vanable will highlight how RSA’s solutions enable centralized printing of jobs submitted by PC, Mac, Web, and Multi-Function Devices, as well as mainframes and minicomputers. RSA is the one vendor that offers the breadth and depth of products to accommodate job submission from diverse sources, transformation of legacy data streams, and enterprise output management. Mr. Vanable’s presentation will be held on Saturday, March 3rd from 11am to 11:45am. “I am excited to present the RSA story to the Xplor audience,” noted Vanable. “RSA is well-known for our transform solutions, such as M.I.S. Print and IPDSPrint, however, I'd like to share specific information regarding WebCRD, our Portal to the Print Center, and QDirect, RSA’s Enterprise Output Manager. Together, these products make up what we call the Enterprise Workflow System, and deliver everything an Enterprise needs to increase centralized print volume and efficiency.” Mr. Vanable will also be participating on a sure-to-be interesting panel discussion covering Web-to-Print and PDF tools. SurePDF™ is RSA’s print driver built on Adobe PDF JobReady™, which eliminates layout mistakes common to PDF clones. Fonts, resolution settings, and applications are no longer a concern as all documents are converted to Print-Ready PDF on the client’s desktop, with the correct fonts, and are approved before they ever reach the Print Center. SurePDF is only available from RSA, to ensure WebCRD jobs are processed with 100% Document Fidelity.
