PODi Releases 2009 Case Studies

Friday, March 06, 2009

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY -- PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, announces the publication of the 2009 Digital Print Case Studies. Thirty-eight new digital print success stories are being added to the database, bringing the total to over 350. The PODi Digital Print Case Study database is the only collection of its kind for the digital print marketplace.

The year's collection covers 10 vertical markets and dozens of different business applications. The 2009 case studies also have a new format which focuses on marketing innovation and strategy. Case studies highlight the marketing ideas that led to more effective communications through the use of digital print. In addition, each case study is illustrated with visuals from the featured communication along with details on objectives, planning and production. These actual examples make complex digital campaigns clear and easy to understand.

Nine of the 2009 applications were produced using PPML - a high-performance, interoperable, device-independent XML printing standard that enables the widespread use of personalized print in high volumes.

Case studies are essential resources for both progressive printing and marketing solutions businesses and for their clients. "These case studies have proven invaluable in helping us demonstrate to our clients the value of digital and 1-to-1 marketing. PODi has helped us make the leap from 'printer' to 'marketing communications provider" explains Debbie Simpson, President, Multi-Craft Litho.

PODi case studies are available free to PODi members. Non-members can search and view an abstract and thumbnail of each case study. Individual case studies can be purchased for $25 USD each. To find out more about this and other benefits of membership, visit www.podi.org/membership.

Call for Submissions for PODi Digital Print Case Study Database

PODi collects case studies for its online database throughout the year. The competition for the prestigious PODi Best Practice Awards is open to both members and non-members. Every year, the call for entries draws dozens of the most innovative examples of digital print. Entries can be submitted for any program or campaign than involves the use of digital printing, including print-on-demand books, direct mail, collateral, Web to print, transpromo and more.

Case study submitters report numerous benefits to their participation. Published case studies establish them as digital print experts and raise their company profile in the industry. Many say that they have started lucrative relationships with new clients, thanks to their PODi-published case study.

There is no fee for submitting case studies for the Best Practice Award competition and no limit on the number of submissions. To submit a digital print success story, go to www.podi.org/casestudy/bpsubmission.
