PrintLogistix installs web-hosted attendance service

Press release from the issuing company

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Attendance on Demand, Inc. web-hosted employee time and attendance service has been selected by Missouri-based RBO PrintLogistix to monitor, schedule and track employee time and attendance from any computer with Internet access. Attendance on Demand distributor Labor Strategy of Greensboro, North Carolina manages the installation.

Attendance on Demand is a web-hosted time and attendance service that automates labor management for the organization, which is one of the Midwest's largest printing and document management companies. RBO PrintLogistix tracks employee labor and wage data securely over the web; schedules staffing in real time; easily views reports online; and automatically interfaces with payroll.

Over 35 clerical, customer service representatives, sales people and other staff start and end their shifts using a biometric time clock which works seamlessly with the web-hosted time and attendance service to record employee times. There is no software to buy, no upfront investment in licenses, no servers or hardware, and no need for costly maintenance. Attendance on Demand is available on a subscription basis - speeding implementation, minimizing the expenses and risks.

Said Bill Bolk, CFO of RBO PrintLogistix, "Our previous time tracking solution fell short in that the software was very difficult to navigate - even simply filling in missed punches was an administrative nightmare."

The company streamlined the entire employee scheduling process, making it easier to schedule employees according to work groups, flexible three-day work weeks, and flextime. Bolk adds, "Switching to the online employee time tracking system has helped us increase accuracy of payroll totals. We now automatically apply our company's rounding rules to the 10th of the hour at the start and end of shifts, cutting down the chance for unauthorized overtime which was a problem for us in the past."

Bolk concludes, "We've dramatically cut administrative effort. It used to take me nearly 3 hours a payroll period to assemble employee time and labor, schedule employees and manage exceptions like tardies and early departures. Now, it takes just a few minutes a week."
