CGS first to get certifications on Epson x900 Series

Press release from the issuing company

Hainburg (Germany) / Minneapolis MN, -- – CGS Publishing Technologies International, global leader of color management solutions, digital proofing systems and specially formulated media, today announced that ORIS Color Tuner is the first system to receive GRACoL and SWOP certification on Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 printers. ORIS Color Tuner utilizes all of the features of the built-in SpectroProofer of the x900 series to provide for fully automated calibration. With the combined capabilities of ORIS Color Tuner and the Epson x900 series customers can save time and money through the automated calibration and color management to industry standards.

Certification has been granted for the following printing conditions: Grade #1 GRACoL on ORIS PearlProof Super and ORIS PearlProof Select, SWOP Grade #3 on ORIS PearlProof Commercial and Grade #5 on ORIS PearlProof Publication for all printers in the x900 series. Made to CGS specifications and the strictest manufacturing tolerances, the ORIS PearlProof family ensures consistent batch-to-batch quality. Due to their exclusive ultra-fine grain nanoporous coating, ORIS PearlProof media provide double the surface area of common microporous papers, thus allowing for higher ink densities, uniform ink absorption, better shadow detail, larger color gamut and faster drying. The exclusive single-pass coating ensures very low defect level, greater consistency and stable Lab values.

“CGS is excited to be the first to market with GRACoL and SWOP certification on these phenomenal new printers from Epson” comments Trevor Haworth, Chief Executive Officer of CGS Publishing Technologies International. “We see the built-in spectrophotometer as a quantum leap in inkjet technology which, with ORIS Color Tuner, brings true automation to the world of hybrid proofing.”
