Lake Image Systems Enhances IMB Verification System

Press release from the issuing company

Henrietta, NY - Lake Image Systems, the worldwide leader in vision control and verification systems, has enhanced its popular Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB) Verification System.  In addition to ensuring that printed IMB codes comply with USPS dimensional tolerances and readability requirements, the system now includes archiving capability for all pieces, including envelopes and booklets, at image archiving speeds in excess of 40,000 pieces per hour.  The system also ensures that no pieces are missing or duplicated, and stops the production process or diverts the production stream should a defect be detected.  The system is easily installed at the exit stage of inserting machines, stitchers, and poly wrappers to quickly modernize legacy equipment in a variety of applications.

Discussing the enhanced Intelligent Mail Barcode system, Lake Image Systems vice president Pat Hoskins commented, "The Lake Image Systems Intelligent Mail Barcode product now includes capabilities far beyond mere verification of mail barcode accuracy, legibility, and dimensions.  The Lake Image Systems IntegraVision reporting package provides a camera image of every piece and/or defect with the matching quality report."
