Press release from the issuing company

At Print 09, Digital Information will be presenting the new version of the InkZone Move Press software solution, which now has integrated support for multiple scanning spectrophotometers including SpectroDrive from Techkon and Intellitrax from X-Rite.

Swiss software developer and system integrator Digital Information has seen worldwide success with its cost-effective solutions for automated color measurement and control of a wide range of offset presses. The well-known InkZone product line connects to numerious prepress workflows as well as sheetfed and web-offset presses from established manufacturers.

At Stand 7151 of Print 09 the workflow specialists will place emphasis on their InkZone Move Press product. Live presentations will be made of the newly-developed drivers for two spectrophotometric scanners –  SpectroDrive from Techkon and Intellitrax from X-Rite. Visitors can review the wide range of new and legacy presses supported and see firsthand how the measuring results are displayed using a common graphic format on the monitor.

Both versions of InkZone Move Press will be on display: InkZone Move Press Densi and InkZone Move Press Spectro. Users interested in interpreting simple density and dot gain values to gain control of process color printing can evaluate how InkZone Move Press Densi can meet their pressroom control needs. Visitors interested instead in the capabilities of the Spectro version, can see the additional capability of displaying CIELAB and corresponding Delta-E values, as specified in many printing industry standards.

InkZone Move Press will also be shown controlling the cost-effective and accurate DigiDensi color scanning systems from Digital Information, in addition to the SpectroDrive from Techkon and the Intellitrax from X-Rite. As an option, users can evaluate the low-cost EyeOne from X-Rite, which has the added advantage of automated measurements via an optional motorized DC Track.

The whole suite of the InkZone solutions connect to any prepress workflow and to virtually any offset printing press and now fully supports the leading color measuring systems. Global printers of all sizes are invited to see how these unique, cost-saving solutions can add a consistent interface to their existing workflows, instrumentation and press equipment.
