Press release from the issuing company

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. - Canon Business Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of Canon U.S.A. and a leading provider of document imaging and office solutions, today announced that ZipTek Services of Denver, Colorado, a full service printing and direct mail company specializing in data driven mail campaigns, has installed the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP digital press to support the growing demand for short-run quality color output.

"Our goal was find a solution with greater quality, speed, and reliability- all at an economical cost per impression. After extensive research, we found that the Canon imagePRESS provided the best value. Since installation, our monthly digital color volumes have quadrupled, yet our cost per print is roughly a third of what it used to be. Our quality, throughput, and reliability have also greatly increased," said Doug Michaels, Owner of ZipTek Services

The Canon imagePRESS line represents the largest single engine R&D investment in Canon's history. Capable of printing images up to 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution with a superior level of quality, the imagePRESS C7000VP prints at 60 letter pages per minute, including media up to 110lb cover stock. The imagePRESS C7000VP reflects Canon's commitment to enabling businesses of all sizes to capitalize on our years of intensive R&D in digital color imaging and reproduction.

"ZipTek is a great example of a successful commercial print operation that has embraced digital solutions for on-demand printing to complement their current portfolio. Already successful in the Denver area, ZipTek will be able to take advantage of greater quality, faster turnaround and better margins to help drive their business. We are proud of our ability to help them achieve this goal with the implementation of the imagePRESS C7000VP," said Denis Griff, Sr. Director of Production Print, Canon Business Solutions.
