Print CEO Forum to Feature Industry Expert Barbara Pellow

Press release from the issuing company

Session focused on how different the post-recession market will be

Lexington, Kentucky USA – WhatTheyThink, a leading media, market intelligence and research company for the printing and publishing industries, today announced that industry expert and strategic thought leader Barbara Pellow, Group Leader at research firm InfoTrends, will speak at the Print CEO Forum.  This exclusive printer-only event will be conducted at the prestigious University Club in Chicago on September 11th and 12th, 2009.

“A clear message that will come out of this thought-leadership session is that change in our industry is accelerating, and the old approaches to the business are no longer effective,” said Pellow.  “In my session, I will talk about how companies are transforming their businesses to meet these new market realities.  These real-world examples will provide attendees with great ideas about how they can transform their own businesses.”

The Print CEO Forum will also feature Dr. Joe Webb, Director of WhatTheyThink’s Economics & Research Center, who will provide in-depth discussion about the post-recession economy.  He will be joined by author and CEO consultant, Bob Rosen, who will share his thoughts about the required financial structure, including revenue per employee and other ratios that will reflect the new environment.  “A central theme of the session will be the new foundation for business strategy in the post-recession market. Decisions and assumptions about our businesses may have led us to make decisions that were good at the time, but many of those initiatives will not be valid in the new printing business,” said Dr. Webb.

The Print CEO Forum will also include highlights of Print 09, North America’s largest printing trade show being held at Chicago’s McCormick Place through September 16th.  “By adding Print 09 highlights to the program,” added Randy Davidson, President of WhatTheyThink, “we will be assisting owners and managers of printing businesses in making their show visit more productive, especially in light of what they will have learned during the Forum.”

Attendance is limited to 150 senior printing executives.  More information about the event, including a complete agenda, can be found by visiting http://PrintCEOForum.com or by emailing [email protected].
