Print CEO Forum Hightlights Keys to Success in the New Print Business

Press release from the issuing company

Lexington, Kentucky USA – WhatTheyThink, a leading media, market intelligence and research company for the printing and publishing industries, today provided additional details about its exclusive printer-only event, Print CEO Forum, which will be conducted at the prestigious University Club in Chicago on September 11 th and 12th, 2009.

“Our forecasts about 2009 have unfortunately come true,” said Dr. Joe Webb, Director of WhatTheyThink’s Economic & Research Center.  “We have been surprised at some of the companies that have been having problems.  Even when the recession ends, we will be left with a totally different printing business.  Part of our strategy in scheduling this session was to provide an informational venue for CEOs of printing firms that could offer advice, guidance and practical strategies for maintaining business success during the economic downturn as well as adjusting to the new realities of the post-recession market.”

During the session, Dr. Webb will provide in-depth discussion about the post-recession economy.  He will be joined by author and CEO consultant, Bob Rosen, who will share his thoughts about the required financial structure, including revenue per employee and other ratios that will reflect the new environment.  “A central theme of the session will be the new foundation for business strategy in the post-recession market. Decisions and assumptions about our businesses may have led us to make decisions that were good at the time, but many of those initiatives will not be valid in the new printing business,” added Dr. Webb.

The Print CEO Forum will also include highlights of Print 09, North America’s largest printing trade show being held at Chicago’s McCormick Place through September 16th.  “By adding Print 09 highlights to the program,” added Randy Davidson, President of WhatTheyThink, “we will be assisting owners and managers of printing businesses in making their show visit more productive, especially in light of what they will have learned during the Forum.”

Attendance is limited to 150 senior printing executives.  More information about the event, including a complete agenda, can be found by visiting http://PrintCEOForum.com or by emailing [email protected].
