WebCRD Offers Document Preview

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY -- WebCRD, RSA's award-winning Web-to-Print solution, has always offered genuine PDF proofs, showing fonts and images exactly where they are supposed to be.  Customers have enjoyed increased efficiencies and elimination of mistakes and rework, as users can see and approve a proof of the document before a single page is printed.

While the PDF proof is reliable and accurate, this view does not represent the finished product when print options are considered.  A complete view includes tabs, colored paper stock, and even a range of finishing options such as colored coils, comb binding, and more.  Other web-to-print products offer low-resolution, illegible representations of the job, showing finishing options, but without the accuracy and reliability of a PDF layout.  Users and print centers faced a tradeoff between an accurate PDF of the finished job or a low-resolution 'suggestion' of what the output might look like, showing finishing options.

Introducing WebCRD Document Preview!  With Document Preview, users see a complete on-screen representation of their job when ordering, including paper colors and finishing options.  The document is presented as a realistic and legible representation of the finished product.  A fun touch is that users can turn pages with an animated flip, just like a virtual eBook reader!

"At RSA, we have always focused on producing reliable, high quality output," notes Tim Kelly, Senior Vice President at RSA.  "That's why we've created our SurePDF print driver, based on genuine Adobe PDF technology, to ensure 100% document fidelity.  After all, what good is Web-to-Print if the output is inaccurate and has to be reprinted manually?  That just allows you to make mistakes faster!  So our focus on WebCRD's previous document proof system was to generate a pixel-perfect PDF.  Now, we can offer the same pixel-perfect PDF proof side-by-side with a realistic representation of the finished document that is legible, attractive, extremely usable and even fun!"

WebCRD Document Preview will increase customer satisfaction, eliminate mistakes, and make customers more comfortable ordering higher value jobs from your Print Center.  Best of all, WebCRD Document Preview will be available at no charge to all new and current WebCRD customers under a maintenance agreement, in the Fall of 2009.

RSA also just launched a major redesign of their website, www.rocsoft.com.  Visitors can view Flash demos and archived webinars, more easily than ever before.  RSA's extensive library of case studies is searchable by industry or solution as well.  "We wanted to make it as easy as possible for visitors to find the information they need," recalled Kelly.  "We are fortunate to have so many case studies, but we needed to create a database to make searching practical."

WebCRD and additional workflow solutions are available through RSA's partners and directly from RSA.  For more information, visit www.rocsoft.com.
