Oliver Printing Installs New POLAR Cutting System

Press release from the issuing company

Kennesaw, Ga. -- Oliver Printing, Twinsburg, Ohio, has realized a 30-40 percent increase in cutting productivity since it installed a POLAR P.A.C.E. 137XT with Autotrim automatic waste removal late last year. Said company president George Oliver, “Not only have we saved production hours because our throughput is higher, but our operators also love the automated, ergonomic material handling features of the new system. Cutting bottlenecks are now a thing of the past.”

Heidelberg hardware and software are well integrated into Oliver Printing’s operation to take full advantage of Heidelberg’s legendary quality, reliability and productivity, Oliver added. The company operates a Suprasetter 105 CtP device with Printready prepress workflow, in addition to Heidelberg presses in every format size: a Speedmaster CD 102 6-color press, a Speedmaster CD 74 6-color press, and a Printmaster QM 46 2-color press. In addition to the new POLAR 137 XT cutting system, which also includes a stacklift, jogger, cutting table, left turning gripper and Transomat unloader, Oliver’s bindery also houses a Stitchmaster ST 100 saddlestitcher, Stahlfolder TH and Stahlfolder B26 folders, and a POLAR Cutting System 2. The company also uses Heidelberg pressroom consumables, including Saphira Perfect Dot blankets and ink foils.
